Hello Lily on the Lam Readers:
I've been distracted from blog writing. First, I gave Reymundo the Annoying an emotional dropkick to the head (as if you couldn't see that coming based on my previous blog post!) and then soothed my throat (raw from biatching at dumb boys) with scrumptious chicken tortilla soup based on Ree Drummond - The Pioneer Woman's recipe. Now that it's cooler in Florida (our version of winter), I have been soup-ing it up. I also made the Moroccan lentil soup from Stephanie O'Dea's A Year of Slow Cooking. Both were very good, but the chicken tortilla soup really knocked it out of the park.
Next, after floating away on a warm soup belly sea of loveliness I was further swept away by Debbie Nathan's book, Sybil Exposed. I plowed through this fascinating book and have 50 pages left. As someone who has watched the Sally Field-Joanne Woodward mini series of "Sybil" many times over the years, I am just gobsmacked at the true story behind the alleged multiple personality disorder case.
After I'm done breaking hearts, eating soup and reading Debbie Nathan's book, I'll be back to blog! Until then, muse over this - my Nutter Butter Truffle Cheesecake Balls blog post is so popular that it has surpassed my Top Chef Masters Floyd Cardoz and Daily Show Comedian John Oliver blog posts in number of times viewed. Maybe this is the universe telling you that you should be making Nutter Butter Truffle Cheesecake Balls. And save me one!
