Hello LilyOnTheLam.Com Readers!
Once again it is "New Product Wednesday" where I review products that are new … or new to me! I am sure you have heard the Albert Einstein quote: "Insanity - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
Well, I am insane when it comes to ice cream flavors.
For someone with a massive sugar addiction, you would think that any and every ice cream flavor would have a welcome place in my heart. But when it comes to the Publix grocery store brand ice creams, evidently I am monogamous.
I rarely allow myself ice cream (as I will eat the entire carton and then go on a sugar rampage), but if I am going to buy a Publix store brand ice cream; I always go for the Publix branded Denali Chocolate Moose Tracks ice cream. It is delicious chocolate ice cream with peanut butter cups and Moose Tracks fudge. It is decadence in a frozen form!
It is the only Publix branded ice cream flavor that I like. Don't get me wrong, their limited edition flavors always sound incredibly good. Now and again I will buy one of the other flavors and every time I am disappointed and wish I would have bought the Denali Chocolate Moose Tracks ice cream!
You would think I would learn my lesson, right?
Wrong.
The other week I saw "Southern Banana Pudding Limited Edition Ice Cream" under the Publix Premium brand. It is French Custard ice cream with swirls of banana sauce and bites of vanilla wafers.
Sounds incredible, right?
Wrong.
Bland ice cream with artificial tasting banana and crunchy bits that tasted of nothing. I took two bites and then threw away the carton.
I should have bought the Moose Tracks.
Sigh.
Not a good New Product Wednesday. Trust me and go with the Moose Tracks!
